Zippy Strippy

As you may recall, I chickened out on sewing a zippered pocket in my Sweet Harmony handbag.  After carrying it for a few weeks and wanting to show it off to my friends, I decided I really needed a decreet pouch in my new purse.

When I was admiring the wall of sewing patterns at my local quilters supply store, I noticed this fun pattern, the Zippy Strippy from Atkinson Designs.

I had plenty of scrapes leftover from my handbag.  And the zipper was easy-peasy.  This pattern comes with the option of three difference sizes.  I modified the smallest pattern, trimming two inches off the bottom of the bag.  It made the perfect size for decreetly carrying, e-hem, necessities.  But isn't it cute?  It's a great way to use scraps from other projects.
